It is possible to solve the BSE using different algorithms:
- diagonalization: it performs the full diagonalization of the BS matrix
- Haydock: it is an iterative method in which the dielectric function is evaluated as a continued fraction
Tips & Tricks
Haydock is faster, but in order to obtain informations concerning excitonic eigenvalues and eigenvectors you need to diagonalize the BS matrix.
